About Us
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Equitable Governance exists to champion fair, transparent, and inclusive governance across the UK’s SME and micro-business sector—where accountability and gender balance are too often overlooked.
It's mission is to influence policy, build evidence, and drive systemic change that ensures diverse leadership becomes the norm, not the exception.
Women on Boards CIC® acts as Secretariat to the APPG, bringing expertise, research, and a powerful network of leaders and partners. Through this role, Women on Boards CIC® ensures that the APPG remains grounded in real-world insight, informed by business and community voices, and committed to shaping practical solutions that advance equitable governance nationwide.

Together, the Chair and Committee Members provide the governance, direction and parliamentary oversight necessary to uphold the integrity of the APPG, enabling it to convene diverse voices, shape informed debate, and influence effective policy reform.

The Business Board serves as the strategic backbone of the APPG on Equitable Governance, bringing together senior leaders from business, academia, and community to shape the agenda and ensure its impact is both practical and measurable.

As Secretariat, Women on Boards CIC® coordinates parliamentary activity, manages stakeholder engagement, and ensures that the voices of SMEs, entrepreneurs, and underrepresented leaders are consistently heard in Westminster.
